The divetrip with "Tauchinsel Göppingen" to Thailand and Burma in March meant once more a ten-hour flight to Bangkok,

another flight to Phuket and a bus trip to Ranong. Luckily we had two days before diving to get used to the climate and the time difference.

The boat of DiveAsia is called Mare West and very comfortable (See DiveAsia´s website for more detail about the boat).

We had two days to get to know the "fun" you can have in Phuket, and then to enjoy yourself even more once you get out of there.

Saturday morning we´ve been transferred with mini-buses to Ranong, the border city to Burma in Thailand. Many Thai people cross the border to Burma on weekends to spend money in the casinos, for gambling is prohibited in Thailand.
